Sara and Dane’s West Bottom Engagement Session | Kansas City Wedding Photographers

Sara and Dane are an awesome couple we met when they attended our Fire Starter Photography Basics Workshop when we ran a special with Living Social over a year ago.  They both have a passion for photography and it is easy to see, for each other as well!  They have two engagement stories and they are both great!  While Dane waited on Sara’s actual engagement ring to arrive, he bought another ‘Two Carrot’ ring (yes, two carrots like bunnies eat) and surprised her with a proposal!  It took Sara a moment to realize what the two mini orange carrots on the ring meant.  There were two ‘carrots’ on that ring just as there would be two ‘karats’ on her actual engagement ring that was to come!

When Sara’s ring finally arrived, Dane planned a trip for them to New York City, a place they love to go as often as they can, and Dane proposed in front of Sara’s favorite building, the Flatiron Building.  We had an awesome time and took some amazing photos of them during their e-session (engagement shoot) at the Kansas City West Bottoms!  Here are a few of our favorites… (and be sure to check out both engagement rings at the end of the blog post!)

Wedding photos will be up soon!  So check back!  🙂

Kevin– these are beautiful! I love the lighting, colors and how the emotion shows in each pic. This couple will have these for the rest of their lives to reflect back on. It really tells a story and I love it.
